- The sketch took the President to a White Lotus resort
- Members of his administration were also there
- Musical guest Lizzo was also part of the sketch

Trump swapped Mar-a-Lago for The White Lotus in a Saturday Night Live sketch parodying recent political developments in the US.
In The White Potus, we see members of his administration head to Thailand and end up in some wild situations similar to that in the recent third season of Mike White’s HBO anthology series.
James Austin Johnson and Chloe Fineman played Donald and Melania Trump, who stood in for the roles of Tim and Victoria Ratliff (Jason Isaacs and Parker Posey) in the show. Fineman even had Victoria’s infamous Southern accent – “Hun? Donald, are you getting ready? Hello? Earth to Donald, it’s your wife, Melania. Are you OK?” she drawled. Meanwhile, Johnson sat gormlessly on the bed, mimicking Tim’s frequently catatonic expression.
Naturally, Donald Trump Jr (Mikey Day) stands in for Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), while Alex Moffat returns as Eric Trump, parodying Lochlan (Sam Nivola). Moffat blends a gold Rolex in a nod to Saxon’s protein shakes. Scarlett Johansson also made a surprise appearance as Ivanka Trump (Sarah Catherine Hook’s Piper).
“These old white Trump dudes are trying to ruin my life”
“We are so lucky that America will always be a rich and powerful nation. I mean, can you imagine how awful it would be if America lost all its money and no one in the world respected us anymore?” Fineman’s Melania says at the dinner table, just as Austin’s Trump gets a text with an article’s headline that reads, ‘Trump Triggers Worldwide Recession.’
“You would never let our economy go to pieces. Right, hun?” Melania adds.
We also encounter a Rick-like (Walton Goggins) Robert F. Kennedy Jr, played by host Jon Hamm, ranting about vaccines and fluoride in water. Sarah Sherman plays a version of Aimee Lou Wood’s character Chelsea.
“These old white Trump dudes are trying to ruin my life,” Lizzo, as Belinda, says. “Oh my gosh, there’s $5 million in my bank account. It was $20 million last week.”
What happened in the White Lotus’ finale?

The third season wrapped up last week in typically dramatic style. It was also the show’s longest episode to date.
We knew to expect one guest going home in a body bag, thanks to the gunshots heard in the first episode, but in a poignant twist, there was more than one fatality this season.
Chelsea was killed in a shootout in which Rick gunned down the man who turned out to be his father. In retaliation, Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) fatally wounds Rick, who crashes into the water holding Chelsea’s body.

“Chelsea has this kind of romantic fatalism about their relationship, and you want to buy into it,” explained White in a clip that aired after the episode. “She says to him, ‘Stop fixating on the love you didn’t get and start thinking about the love you have. I’m right here.”
It was Rick’s dedication to revenge that eventually led to Chelsea losing her life.
“It’s a classic theme of Greek tragedy,” added White. “Somebody killing the thing that they love to try to get some revenge.”
