Apart from Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers, Sessa does not actually have another released movie role in his current filmography. However, he is set to star in two major motion pictures, this year.
Sessa will feature alongside Rose Byrne, Demi Lovato, Octavia Spencer, Ariana DeBose and Simon Rex in upcoming drama Tow, directed by Stephanie Laing (Veep, Eastbound & Down). The Holdovers
Dominic Sessa debuted to critical acclaim with his supporting role as Angus Tully in Alexander Payne’s 2023 coming-of-age comedy drama The Holdovers. Starring alongside Paul Giamatti and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, the New Jersey born actor was lauded for his performance as a troubled teenager stuck at his private boarding school over Christmas, 1970.
The Holdovers received five Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor (Giamatti) while Randolph won Best Supporting Actress.
