System of a Down fans have been asking the same question this morning – why is Toxicity not on Spotify?

It’s a real head scratcher. Released back in 2001, this sophomore release from California’s nu-metal giants has since become a much loved genre classic.

Featuring hits like Bounce, Aerials and the band’s breakout single Chop Suey!, the record helped to propel this political rock outfit to worldwide acclaim. 

So why has it disappeared from Spotify this morning?

As many fans have noticed, the album has mysteriously vanished from the music streaming platform. That said, some of its tracks are still available to listen to, just to make things even more confusing.

Head to the band’s Spotify page and you’ll see that Chop Suey! Aerials and Toxicity are each displaying under their most popular hits. However, they’re listed under different records, each with different pictures. 

Meanwhile, the rest of the Toxicity’s tracks are missing in action. So what gives?

Why is System of a Down album Toxicity gone from Spotify?

An official response from the band has yet to emerge, so it’s currently a bit unclear why this album has vanished. The band are currently in the middle of a South American tour and have yet to comment publicly. 

Thankfully, some Reddit users reached out to the a System of a Down fan account who informed fans that the problem should be fixed soon. 

“I just found out And I texted the official SOAD account on Instagram And they told me they are aware And are fixing the problem,” said one user. 

“Dont worry, I got you bro! Soon enough it Will be back again.”

How have fans reacted?

Naturally, System of a Down fans have reacted with confusion to suddenly losing one of their favourite albums. 

One user edited the album’s iconic Hollywood sign artwork to remove the band’s name.

Meanwhile, others pondered if there was some kind of deeper meaning behind it all.

That said, it could just be a technical error.
