- Filming on Stranger Things 5 nearly complete
- Season 5 will be show’s last
- Star Finn Wolfhard has his eye on a souvenir

Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has revealed which “meaningful” item – or items – that he’d love to take home after filming on the fifth and final season of Netflix’s hit series nears its end.
Wolfhard plays Mike Wheeler in The Duffer Brothers’ hugely popular series which landed on the streamer in 2016 and quickly became a pop-culture phenomenon.
In the years since, Wolfhard – along with his co-stars including Eleven’s Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo’s Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin’s Lucas Sinclaire and Noah Schnapps’ Will Byers – has starred in three additional seasons, each of which has been bigger than the last.
After the massive release of Stranger Things 4 in 2022, a fifth and final season of the show is currently in the works and set to hit Netflix in 2025, marking the longest gap yet between seasons.
As filming on the show nears its end, Wolfhard recently told People which souvenir he’d like to take home with him after shooting has wrapped.
“It’s a little thing, but I think it would be very meaningful”

Speaking to the popular US outlet, Wolfhard said he would love to take home his Dungeons and Dragons boardgames piece which was featured in the show’s first season.
“It’s a little thing, but I think it would be very meaningful – the first Dungeons and Dragons Demogorgon piece that I slam on the table. I think would be really cool to keep,” revealed the Ghostbusters: Afterlife star.
However, that wasn’t all. Wolfhard also said he’d like to keep an item that has since become synonymous with Mike, Dustin, Will and Lucas’s little Hawkins, Indiana-based gang – their bikes.
“And then obviously the bikes. The bikes are amazing,” he added.
When is Stranger Things season 5 on Netflix?
Elsewhere, Wolfhard provided a quick update regarding the production of Stranger Things’ final season, telling People that shooting it has been a “surreal” experience.
“I mean, being able to just be with everyone knowing it is the last season has been really great, but it’s pretty surreal,” he explained.
As we previously reported, Stranger Things’ fifth season will also see iconic filmmaker Frank Darabont return to the director’s chair to helm a number of key episodes. Speaking to The Daily Beast, The Shawshank Redemption filmmaker revealed that it was the show’s positivity that lured him out of early retirement.
“What really dragged me out of retirement was that my wife and I really love this show,” said Darabont.
“Our content now is so filled with horrible people doing horrible things for greedy reasons but Stranger Things has so much heart. That positivity is something I really responded to.”
