Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams were rumored to have split late last month.
But in a happy turn of events, Abrams, 25, has shut down whispers that she is no longer with the Gladiator II star, 29.
Sharing a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from the Grammy awards last weekend, the singer – who is the daughter of director JJ Abrams – looked amazing in her white gown.
And fans were also quick to spot that in one of the pictures, Abrams was having her makeup applied… while wearing a T-shirt that read ‘I heart my boyfriend’.
If that wasn’t enough, it appears that the top also has a cartoon of a man running with a ball – which her followers seemed to think was a nod to Mescal’s Gaelic football playing-past.
Not only that, but sources revealed to Deuxmoi that the couple were very much still together.
“Spotted!! Paul Mescal at The Crown in Islington and his phone background [is] a pic of him and Gracie!” they revealed.
Why did fans think Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal had split?
In January, Mescal was spotted enjoying a meal with Abrams at London restaurant, Jolene.
But far from a romantic day out, the evening reportedly ended in literal tears.
“They were sitting at a table opposite each other and Paul had his head in his hands as Gracie just sat there crying,” an onlooker revealed. “She was crying so much that he then started to cry too.
“She eventually got up and walked out of the restaurant while they were halfway through their meal and he was left to pay the bill before leaving shortly afterwards.”
They added, “Everyone saw it all go down, it looked like a break-up, we were just shocked at how public it all was.”
While we’ll never know what the tearful meeting was about, it’s good to see the pair are still as strong as ever.
How long have Gracie Abrams and Paul Mescal been together?
The pair were first linked as far back as October 2023. A source told Deuxmoi that, “I’ve heard from two different people now that Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams are hanging out/dating, but I haven’t seen it first hand.”
Fast forward to June 2024, and it seemed as though Mescal and Abrams – who recently supported Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour – were now A Thing.
Pictured out and about in London, another insider spotted them shopping in July last year.
“Paul is a very low-key person, as is Gracie, so there was no fanfare and they kept their distance from each other when they were out on the street,” they told The Sun. “When they had finished shopping, they each went off alone.”
Since then, the pair have been seen together several times – including with other pals at music festivals.
And while neither has officially confirmed their relationship, they seemed to go public with their romance in November – when Abrams attended the Los Angeles premiere of Gladiator II to support her boyfriend.
Mescal also supported Abrams – who is the daughter of Hollywood director J. J. Abrams – at her debut SNL performance in December.
