- A fake GTA 6 clip made in Unreal Engine 5 gets viral attention
- Fans are initially excited, believing it’s official GTA 6 footage
- The community quickly debunks the clip, leaving mixed reactions

The new GTA 6 leaks have arrived with the new year, stirring up the excitement and confusion among the fans.
A recent leak has left fans puzzled, and it appears to be from 2021, revealing insignificant details and making it hard for fans to care. The surfaced image on X displayed a blurry image, a glimpse of a PS5 development kit alongside a PC and the GTA 6 playing on the screen.
It can be seen that the character shown is one of the main protagonists— Lucia, standing on the road in a casual outfit. Although fans are analyzing every detail, the image still offers nothing groundbreaking.
Just as before, every new leak brings a storm and wave of thrill within the gaming community but after in-depth scrutiny everything settles down, a similar scenario happened with this one.
This time fans are not showing much interest and questioning the real purpose and why anyone would put their job position at risk for something unimportant like this image, bringing no new information regarding the game.
Some argue the footage’s timing would have been more impactful back in 2021, but now it feels like a relic of the past. However, the internet remains divided, and there are different opinions about the leak’s authenticity.
The PS5 dev kit may add some credibility, still, skeptics have noted certain inconsistencies, such as the use of a PS4 controller with the kit. Others have to say that it seems like Photoshop and Lucia’s appearance isn’t convincing enough, failing to align with one portrayed in the first trailer.
GTA 6 fans are going through a critical waiting period, looking up to the developers to release new content or a trailer about the game. Rockstar’s silence has created a vacuum, fueling fan-made theories and rumors as gamers are desperate to get the information.
They have been waiting for so long, in December first they hoped for the second trailer’s reveal on the Game Awards show in 2024, afterwards many of the players were convinced of the 27/12 theory but certainly met with disappointment.
Now in 2025 the hopes and spirits are high as it is officially a year of GTA 6 release, fingers crossed, Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive assured the community about the launch in this year.
Considering it players are expecting that developers may finally break the ice in upcoming months. Whether Rockstar drops another trailer soon or continues to let fans speculate, it’s clear that the eventual release of GTA 6 will dominate the gaming industry again for years.
