Nintendo and LEGO are all prepared with a surprise to begin 2025 with, unveiling their newest collaborations for fans of Mario Kart and Animal Crossing.

Mario Kart LEGO Sets: Racing into Creativity

Scheduled for release on January 1, 2025, these sets bring beloved characters and worlds to life, promising hours of endless creativity, and aim to amuse builders of all ages. So whether players are 17 or 27 the diversity of these sets allows them to grab one that fits right for them.

Building on the fast-paced action of the Mario Kart franchise, LEGO has designed six unique sets featuring iconic racers, vehicles, and tracks. From the sleek Yoshi Bike ($14.99) to the grand Baby Peach & Grand Prix set ($79.99), there’s something for everyone. The collection includes:

  • Standard Kart ($19.99): Mario’s signature kart and a Pit Crew Toad.
  • Donkey Kong and DK Jumbo ($34.99): A larger build showcasing Donkey Kong and his oversized ride.
  • Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi ($29.99): A showdown between the baby versions of the Mario Bros.
  • Toad’s Garage ($39.99): A customizable car-building set complete with sound effects.
  • Baby Peach & Grand Prix ($79.99): The largest set featuring a detailed racetrack, three minifigures, and multiple karts.

Fans of the LEGO Mario series will be thrilled to know that many of these sets are compatible with interactive Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures. These characters come to life as they drive vehicles, touch item boxes, and even customize car sounds in Toad’s Garage.

Animal Crossing LEGO Sets: Cozy Adventures Await

Not to be outdone, Animal Crossing fans will also get their share of LEGO fun with three delightful sets. These sets showcase the charm of the game with activities like stargazing, gardening, and shopping:

  • Stargazing with Celeste ($9.99): A compact set featuring Celeste and her telescope.
  • Leif’s Caravan & Garden Shop ($29.99): A cozy mobile shop surrounded by greenery.
  • Able Sisters Clothing Shop ($39.99): The largest of the Animal Crossing sets, spotlighting the textile shop run by the beloved Able Sisters.

Each set introduces new characters, including Celeste, Leif, and the Able Sisters, adding a fresh twist for collectors and fans. Nintendo and LEGO joined hands in 2020 with a Super Mario Bros. set celebrating the franchise’s 35th anniversary.

Since then, the collaboration has continued to expand till today, introducing everything from buildable levels to interactive figures. This new wave of Mario Kart and Animal Crossing sets shows their dedication to bringing fan-favorite games into the world of LEGO.
