The 2025 Oscars was held on 2 March and the red carpet looks took over the ceremony. The Oscars is one of the biggest nights in film and honors those in the past year of cinema. It is presented by the Academy Awards. Some big wins of the night included Anora and Mikey Madison who took home the Best Actress award.
Adrien Brody won the Best Actor award for his performance in The Brutalist, and Sean Baker won Best Director for Anora. Among Hollywood’s elite, there were also some big moments for the best red carpet looks, which we’ll look at soon.
Aside from all the awards, there were some major red carpet-moments. Julia Fox pulled a Bianca Censori (weird that they both have dated Kanye West) and Timothée Chalamet pulled out all the stops in a pastel suit.

Who had the best red carpet looks at the 2025 Oscars?
It depends on who you ask. Some celebs opted for sparkly glitz and glam while others went for darker and more subdued looks, but there are some great ones on both sides.
1. Ariana Grande in Schiaparelli
One of the best red carpet looks from the 2025 Oscars was Ariana Grande’s pink strapless dress. Is it a dress? Is it a lampshade? Who knows? The Wicked actress was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked.
She stepped out in a pink strapless dress by Schiaparelli. The dress was stunning because it had a fitted bodice and flew out into a voluminous tulle skirt. It gives us a fairytale vibe and fits Grande’s character in Wicked. Fans were divided on the dress, but for a night at the Oscars, a big dress is a must.
2. Demi Moore in Giorgio Armani Privé
Among the most stunning looks (worn by the most stunning women of the night) was Demi Moore’s silver sparkly dress. Sparkles might be a bit overdone at award shows, but not Moore’s Giorgio Armani Privé figure-hugging dress. Moore wore a crystal-encrusted gown with a stunning long train.
At 62, Moore has had quite the year, winning a Golden Globe for Best Actress in The Substance and stunning at every award show. This dress was made for her body, and we will be thinking about it for days.
3. Colman Domingo in Valentino and Omega
At the 2025 Oscars, the women stood out, but Colman Domingo managed to get through with his red carpet-look. He was a vision in red, wearing a double-breasted jacket in shantung silk accompanied by a shirt and a guru-style collar. Domingo’s collar was custom-made by Valentino.
He accessorized the look with some cool black shades. He was nominated at the Oscars for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role in the movie Sing Sing.
4. Timothée Chalamet in Givenchy
Timothée Chalamet is not usually known for having the best red carpet-looks, but at the 2025 Oscars, he did. The 29-year-old was nominated for Best Actor for his role in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. Chalamet stepped out in a three-piece pastel yellow suit by Givenchy.
Not only was the color contrasting with the Oscars carpet, but it also marked the beginning of spring. Very fun among all the darker colors at the Oscars, bringing a pop of color to the award show.
5. Selena Gomez in Ralph Lauren
Selena Gomez has stunned all award season but has taken the cake with this gown. Gomez got the glamour memo and channeled Old Hollywood in her custom Ralph Lauren dress. Although simple, the dress was adorned with 16,000 drops of glass and hand-sewn Rosemont crystals which oozed sophistication and made the actress stand out amongst her peers.
However, she was not nominated for her recent role in the controversial film Emilia Pérez, despite the film receiving 13 nominations from the Academy.
6. Lisa Manobal in Markgong
Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal blew the carpet away with her Markgong look. She also became the first K-Pop artist to perform at the Academy Awards. Manobal’s performance comes days after the K-Pop star released her debut solo album, Alter Ego, on 28 February.
The look featured a black-and-white tuxedo gown with a red flower. Altogether, the gothic style look is a little different from the best red carpet looks at the Oscars, but the White Lotus star Lisa pulls it off with a big pouffy updo.
7. Halle Berry in Christian Siriano
Despite not being nominated for anything at the 2025 Oscars, actress Halle Berry managed to get people talking with her stunning silver Christian Siriano gown. The metallic gown had a structured bodice with stained-glass silver-style pieces attached.
The stunning mirrored gown had the carpet talking, and was unlike anything else worn that night, and fitted her like a glove. Berry won her first Oscar in 2002 for Best Leading Actress in Monster’s Ball.
8. Jeff Goldblum in Prada
Jeff Goldblum who was a part of the huge ensemble cast of Wicked stepped out in a fun Prada look. He wore a white suit jacket with a floral shirt underneath with a purple orchid attached to his jacket.
Goldblum’s Prada tuxedo was fun and simple complimented his shirt underneath, and was funky compared to the boring black-tie tuxedo we often see men rocking at the Oscars. One thing about him is he loves a quirky red carpet look!
